Sandra,
a native of Del Rio, Texas began dancing at age 3 in Tucson, Arizona. She studied
in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas and Kilgore College, Texas; Chicago, Illinois,
Tampa and the University of South Florida; and with Luigi in New York City. She
continues to take master classes. |
After
obtaining her degree Sandra worked on several television commercials and was a
principle dancer in NBC's television production for the grand opening of MGM's
Studio at Disney World. She choreographed a segment for Disney World's Mousekeeters
and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
She
has taught in Europe, Massachusettes and at the Florida Dance Festival. She has
provided choreography for the Macy's Day Parade NYNY. Sandra has enjoyed 7 years
at University of Tampa as a adjunct professor in the dance department. She enjoys
this added level of teaching. Sandra
was the sponsor of the award-winning dance team at Plant High School and the Dance
Team at the University of Tampa. She has provided nationally ranked choreography
and instruction to several high schools in the area. Her junior high dance class
has won first place nationally and continues to rank superior. Sandra
formed and is the director of The Company, now in it's 25th year.
The Company has performed around the state and is in demand locally.
She attributes her success to hard work, her parents, her teachers, wonderful
students and her love of dance. |
